ASUU Strike: Sambo Takes Over FG’s Negotiation Team!

ASUU Strike: Sambo Takes Over FG’s Negotiation Team!

Indications emerged on Thursday that the Federal Government might have changed the leadership of its team of negotiators following the failure of the team led by Governor Gabriel Suswam to find a lasting solution to the strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Represemtatives of the Federal Government were led to a 2-hour meeting with ASUU by Vice President Namadi Sambo on Thursday.
The leader of the union, Nasir Isa Fagge said he and his colleagues have been given a message by the Federal Government and that he and his colleagues would take the message back to the larger ASUU forum where it would be discussed.
While speaking after the meeting, the Supervising Minister for Education, Nyesome Wike assured Nigerians that students will soon return to the universities as the Federal Government is ready to ensure that all the issues related to the strike are resolved.
